Every time I pick my son up, he asks. “Mommy, what did you do today?”
I say, “Reading, writing, dreaming, watching, and…reading, dreaming, writing, listening, and.. maybe even dancing. Oh, and playing...”
“Nice!” he says.
When he’s at school, I enter the imaginary world I create.
I’ve been making up songs and stories for him since he was a baby. I simply made sounds that were available and told stories, whatever came to mind. But over time, my son taught me to discover the beauty of flow and meditative writing. He would listen and slowly fall asleep.
Here, I sit and engage in writing stories, personal notes, and maybe ask questions or write letters to my imaginary friends. And if I can exchange ideas with others and learn from them, that would be wonderful.
Hope to connect with you..
